We had been looking out for puppies (either yorkshire terriers/maltese) after we seen Micheal's puppy. He's just too adorable! We started searching online websites to find home breeders. Do not intend to get from the petshops in shopping centres as we heard from friends that they are kind of puppy mill system and it's cruel, we do not support that at all! Afterall, prices for a puppy are usually on the higher end as compared with the home breeders rate. Been researching on the breeds and finally we decided on yorkshire terrier. Hubby prefers this breed to maltese. I'm ok with it too. I love all breeds but not those large breeds which look really intimidating.

Finally found one home breeder which offered reasonable prices and the puppy age is just right too. We wanted to get one around 8 weeks or more. Not too small, as neither me nor cy has the experience of keeping a dog before. Both of us wanted to keep dogs back in spore, but for me, my mum do not allow and dislikes having pets in the house, as for cy is due to his sis's asthma. Over here, its great! We do not face any restrictions on keeping pets. =) The home breeder is situated in Mesa, and hubby came home early that day, so down we went to see the puppies on sale ( 1 female n 1 male). We had not fix on the gender and hubby is easy on that. We reached Mesa after one n half hrs car ride and went to have our dinner at Jack In the Box. Had some problem locating the home breeder's house. Must really say, their house looks awesome! It's just like the dome shape house in the fairy tale stories! As Christmas is just around the corner, the house is decorated with all the x'mas lightings.

We went into the house and were immediately greeted by the barkings of the puppies. One of them tried to jump at us, and was held back by the owner, assuring us they were harmless, just want to play and won't bite us. The owner was a nice lady called Glenna. She went into a room where other puppies and dogs were being caged up. A black poodle was quite outstanding in that room, as its the only one there, surrounded by all yorkshire terriers. She came out, holding 2 puppies in her hands. One of them was Jingle. We tried to hold both and see which one we fancy more. When I held Jingle in my arms, I could feel him trembling hard, and breathing was quick too. Seems like he was so tensed up in a stranger's arms. Next, I held his sister, whom tried to jump off from me and off the couch too. The owner briefed us on the essential stuff to take note for keeping a yorkshire terrier, as we told her that we are new to keeping dogs, and zero experience (except for helping juliet to take care of twinkle for a couple of days). 1st thing to note is never let them jump down the couch as their bones r still very fragile right now and still developing. They might break/fracture their bones if they jumped off from high places. I felt more at ease and prefer Jingle, so we decided on him and signed all the required paperworks. He's bought @ USD 800, plus cage to bring him home (USD 20). Took a few pics with the nice lady, his brother and Jingle's parents (Bear crockers) before we set off home tog with Jingle.
